The Kamenev family (Stones) is characterized by "rare unity and mutual understanding". And when the "favorite" son Everett (Mulroney) brings his daughter-in-law Meredith (Parker) into the house, the eccentric family, led by the heroes of Keaton and Nelson, decides Everett and Meredith turn to Everett's sister Julie (Daines), but the situation is not helped one bit by the deaf gay brother Ted (Giordano), even though he is the only one who does not hate Meredith.
