It was not for nothing that Elaine's father objected to his daughter's marriage to Mortimer on the eve of Halloween. Everything immediately went awry. Young people move to a large gloomy house of the Brewster family in Brooklyn, not far from an ancient cemetery. In the house live Mortimer's two sweet old aunts and a completely crazy cousin who thinks he is President Roosevelt. Another brother suddenly appears - a maniac killer who has just escaped from prison. Maybe at least the grandmothers are normal? Unfortunately ... They drink poisoned wine to lonely travelers and hide them in the basement. They do it out of pity, and yet they are serial killers! Will Mortimer be able to get rid of a large number of dead and crazy people in the house and convince his young wife that not all Brewsters are maniacs.
