Charlie Wilson's War

A member of the US Congress from Texas, Charlie Wilson, a lover of whiskey and young assistants, leads a carefree life as a lobbyist. His only problem is how to avoid prosecution by the prosecutor for public use of cocaine. At this time, the USSR is introducing troops into Afghanistan. Wilson's old friend, the beautiful TV presenter and staunch anti-communist Joanne Herring (Julia Roberts), forces him to go to Pakistan and meet with President Zia-Ul-Haq.
