Twenty-five-year-old Briton Elliot, who quit teaching at the Oxford School of Dance, decides to radically change his life. Unexpectedly, he learns that in Russia he has a half-brother named Fedir - the son of a Russian girl with whom his father was in love once upon a time. Elliot goes to St. Petersburg in search of his brother, whom he has never seen. In St. Petersburg, the Briton meets Fedor's girlfriend Hanna, who is about to enter the Theater Academy. Elliot begins to teach Hanna to dance and at the same time tries to understand his feelings for his brother's girlfriend.
