Together, they worked on the remake of Scott's film The Good Father (2013), based on the film Papa (2011). The screenwriter was Steve Conrad, who worked on the texts for the films "The Weatherman" and "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty", for example. Filming of the comedy began in mid-November 2013. The first site for work was Boston, Massachusetts. There, a year later, the team reshot some scenes. In addition, the team visited Berlin, Germany.
