Broadchurch

On a hot July morning, at the height of the tourist season in a Dorset town called Broadchurch, 11-year-old schoolboy Danny Latimer disappears. His mother, Beth, sets out to find him, while her best friend, Ellie Miller, a local police officer, comes in from vacation to work and discovers that the promotion she was hoping for has gone to Inspector Alec Hardy, a newcomer with a reputation for being a loser. When Danny's body is found under the picturesque cliffs that frame the town, they meet. Both Miller and Hardy are determined to solve the mystery of Danny's murder. Ellie is perhaps too empathetic to the people around her, Alec is as effective as he is dispassionate. When news of the crime spreads across town, a chain reaction is set in motion that will bring Broadchurch to the attention of the nation, exposing the town, its inhabitants, and their secrets.
