The famous film actor Arindam, the star of Bengali cinema, is invited to the capital to present him with a prestigious award. The plane tickets were sold out, and he had to travel from Calcutta to New Delhi by train. He is very upset: the morning newspapers wrote about the fact that he was involved in a scandal, and his last film did not have the usual success with the public. In the restaurant car, he meets Aditya, a young journalist who works with a serious women's magazine. She despises people like Arindam and wants to discreetly interview him, believing that this will result in a revealing article that will be successful among readers.
