"Golden Canyon" is a story about an old man looking for gold. And "The Girl Who Was Frightened" is a story about how a woman finds unexpected love obligations, provided with a considerable dose of caustic life irony. And, finally, the sixth chapter, entitled "The Decayed Remains", is a philosophical story about strangers heading to Fort Morgan.
