The first days and even months of the Second World War were marked by a huge number of deaths. Why? Neither the soldiers nor even the representatives of the command had ever really fought before, they learned everything in theory and in training. And here they were immediately thrown into battle, where tens, hundreds, thousands of people give their lives for the protection of their native country. Thus, in 1942, at the beginning of the war for the USA, Ernest Krause became the captain of the destroyer "Greyhound", which should accompany an international convoy of 37 ships in the North Atlantic. The man had never participated in military operations before, and here at once was a mission on which the outcome of the war almost depended. This convoy is too much of a delicacy for the Nazi U-boat flotilla. Everything that can protect the convoy from destruction is "Greyhound".
