"Portrait Against the Background of the Mountains" is a documentary film directed by Maksym Rudenko that tells the story of the photo archive of Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit found in 2015. This is a mosaic of several stories about the life of the people of the Hutsul village of Kryvorivnia, the spirit of the place, the connection between the present and the past, reflected in the photographs of the resident of the village of Paraska Plytki-Horytsvit.
