After Walter and Anna were forced to move out of their apartment in downtown New York, they decided to buy their own house! But where to find such money? And then, somehow, very timely, an acquaintance offered a seemingly amazing house at a wonderful price - one of those offers that, as a rule, are not refused. And our unsuspecting heroes decided to buy. But if they only knew what house they got! A house "with a surprise" was waiting for them - a house that was crumbling right before their eyes, in which nothing wanted to work decisively! But carefree Walter decides to start renovating a new apartment. The battle with the ruined estate begins, a battle not for life, but for death! Who will win: new woes, or a house-catastrophe?
