Britain in the 1980s. Manirna Ined works in the censorship committee, where she conscientiously cuts B-category films, protecting the audience from the gory details. She is sad when she reads in the newspapers that the censors are not working well, and another murder was provoked by some slasher. One day, another film reminds her of the events of her own past, and the actress playing in it seems very similar to her missing sister.
