A thrilling story based on true events from Paramount Pictures Berlin, 1940, Aryan-looking blondes are banned from performing jazz. A brilliant career is instantly destroyed due to the fact that Stella is from a Jewish family. All the family's attempts to emigrate to America remain futile. Eventually, when the Gestapo begins an open manhunt, the family is trapped. Under pressure, the girl makes a "deal with the devil" and agrees to become a Nazi agent. For the sake of her own salvation, she gains the trust of Jews who are hiding and turns them over to the Gestapo.
